QNET Russia Pull Together To Host A Magical Day For Hard Of Hearing Kids
Last December, magic filled the air at a boarding school for hard-of-hearing children in Saratov City, Russia. The occasion: QNET Russia’s year-end Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event to celebrate the New Year.
The day kicked off with a magician performing many tricks to entertain the children. Even with an assistant, the illusionist often roped in a young audience member to help him during the show, much to the kids’ delight.
The event was part of QNET Russia’s annual tradition of contributing to worthy causes and reaching out to deserving groups in partnership with RYTHM Foundation, the QI Group’s social impact arm. The company also worked with local charity From the Heart to Children to organise the event.
The next item on the day’s fun agenda meant getting their hands dirty, but the children didn’t mind it. They eagerly squished and moulded wet lumps of clay into unique plates, bowls, and pots before decorating them with paint.
QNET’s team members, including staff and Independent Representatives (IRs), rolled up their sleeves, too, helping the toddlers with their unique creations as an instructor showed the process.
The kids then had their creations sent to the school’s pottery for the firing process before receiving them a week later as their ceramic keepsakes.
At the event, each child also received a gift pack of personal hygiene products like shampoo, shower gel, soap, napkins, and sanitisers. In addition, they also received toys and snacks.
“QNET and RYTHM stand for quality education and a better life for all children. Kids with special needs are no exception,” Irina Polyakova, Head of Marketing and Public Relations for Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (RCIS), said.
“They engaged with the magic show and the ability to express themselves with clay-making. We are delighted they had a good time because they deserve to enjoy life’s little pleasures like the next child.”
