The Wat Plai Laem is a Buddhist temple on the resort island of Koh Samui, in Thailand, featuring a striking white 18-arm image of Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion“I am glad that I was able to participate in this activity and contribute towards improving the image of our city to the tourists and visitors.”
It was a meaningful experience for 43 of our Prana Resort Nandana staff who volunteered to clean the Plai Laem Temple in Koh Samui, Thailand. The volunteers spent 4 hours in various groups to tackle the task of cleaning and beautifying one of the famous tourist attraction on the island. Among the activities carried out by the volunteers were sweeping the temple floors, mopping, cleaning tiles, wiping the statues, stairs and walls; gardening and trimming plants. A volunteer, Pornpit Treesat said the activity was a meaningful and fun way to contribute to the community.
