Singapore, 28 November, 2013 – FOOTPRINTS was first initiated in 2009 by Vijayaratnam Foundation, the Malaysian chapter of RYTHM Foundation, and kick started in Singapore early this year. What began as a simple initiative to groom youth to excel in life, eventually grew into something more.
After seven months of nurturing young minds through a series of mind-boggling experiential learning and teambuilding activities, FOOTPRINTS Singapore saw their proud mentors and mentees coming together at a special Testimonial Night held on 28 November 2013. The event celebrated the success of their journey and was reminiscent of the adventures they had together.
Among those who were present to celebrate this joyous occasion, were social workers from THK Centre, and QI Singapore Staff. The evening began with an inaugural speech by Mr Zaheer Merchant, Director of QI Group Corporate Affairs & Director-in-Charge of RYTHM Foundation. This was followed by a video presentation documenting the entire FOOTPRINTs journey that transformed our mentors and mentees lives for the better, and improved their basic social skills.
Everyone had an opportunity to mingle with one another and inspire each other through their own greatest experiences. After enjoying a spread of lip smacking dinner, certificates and sweet treats goodies were presented to the new graduates. The event ended on a gleeful note with a cake-cutting and all smiles photo bombing sessions.
