Singapore, 16 November, 2013 – The RYTHM Foundation continues its journey in making the world a better place and this time, it involves the billion hearts, souls of QI Singapore! QI Singapore celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disability, on 16 November with the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS) for a fun day of exploring ocean life at the SEA Aquarium in Sentosa.
For this special event, MINDS invited a group of volunteers from Persons With Intellectual Disability (PWID) to join in the fun and to sharpen their social skills.
It was an exciting tour for everyone where they were given the chance to get up-close and personal with more than 800 species of marine animals, from majestic manta rays, enormous Goliath groupers, Napoleon wrasses, to other gentle giants of the sea. They also came face-to-face with over 200 sharks and discovered a whole lot of cool stuff about the ocean predators.
At the end of the day, friends from MINDS showed their heartfelt thanks to employees of QI Singapore for treating them to a fun filled and educational day.
Senior Financial Controller Ms June Khoo gave a sweet closing speech where she thanked everyone for being part of the memorable event.
