RYTHM Foundation’s Taarana School for special education needs recently celebrated its Annual Day, spotlighting its students’ remarkable abilities and achievements.
We established Taarana, which means ‘awakening’ in Sanskrit, in 2011 to address the urgent need for resources and support for children with developmental disabilities and their families.
The occasion not only highlighted the students’ fantastic talents but also emphasised their abilities and future potential.
As is tradition, the celebration emphasised the children’s performances, which they had practised over several months.
This year, they captivated the audience with a skit on the German fairy tale ‘The Town Musicians of Bremen,’ a presentation of farmer outfits from around the world, and dances.
The programme included a tribute to Taarana’s long-serving staff and awards to the students for their growth and accomplishments.
The Chairperson of RYTHM Foundation, Datin Sri Umayal Eswaran, said the Annual Day underscored the Foundation and Taarana’s dedication to fostering a comprehensive and holistic learning and development environment.
“We must not give up on our children but nurture their skills and talents,” Datin Sri Umayal noted. “If they can’t excel academically, guide them on their unique journey and encourage their other talents.”
The Annual Day was also attended by QI Group Founder and Executive Chairman Dato’ Sri Vijay Eswaran, members of the QI Board of Directors, and senior executives.
