RYTHM Foundation has clinched a CSR award in Ghana for its project supporting children with hearing and visual impairments.
The Foundation received the accolade at the recent 10th Ghana CSR Excellence Awards (GHACEA) 2023, held in Accra, under the Youth and Disabilities Inclusion category.
The annual event by the Centre for CSR, West Africa, is one of Ghana’s most prominent and longest-running CSR awards programmes. It is supported by leaders of business associations, international development partners, and government ministries and agencies.
In June 2019, we teamed up with ANOPA for a three-year initiative in Central and Western Ghana. The programme uses sports, including swimming, basketball, and volleyball, to boost self-confidence, foster social integration, and promote inclusivity among deaf and blind children.
The project also prioritised community sensitisation, improving education quality, increasing enrolment in special education needs schools, and providing vocational training for deaf and blind youths.
