The QI Group of Companies plans to support more worthy causes in Sri Lanka through its social impact arm, RYTHM Foundation.
In an article featured by Malaysian English daily New Straits Times, RYTHM Chairperson Datin Sri Umayal Eswaran said the Foundation aims to empower people at all levels of society to transform their communities and sustain growth.
RYTHM’s support of Sri Lanka dates to 2004 when the Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami struck several countries. The Foundation has recently collaborated with several Sri Lankan NGOs to support longer-term projects that address specific needs in underserved communities.
The online article details the various projects in places like Jaffna, Kilinochchi, and Kandy where RYTHM has empowered women, promoted the social inclusion of people with disabilities, and promoted vocational and livelihood skills programmes.
