Always take volunteering services seriously because you never know how much it means to the recipient, says QI Group staff Bado Abdul Nassir @badonassir. “During a recent volunteering initiative with my colleagues in Malaysia, I was happily playing doctor as I took down blood pressure readings of the homeless people we were trying to help. Only when I saw the look of gratitude on their face and heard the sincerity of their thank you did I realise this was not a game for them. That it was the only time in their lives, someone had taken the time to check on them.” he says.
