During a volunteering activity at a shelter home, QI group staff Salene Kwan listened to the elderly women there talk about the operations they underwent due to health reasons.
“As they were talking, I was reminded of my mother who suffered from health complications following an operation, some time back. The women’s stories reminded me to take more care of my mother and spend time with her,” she says.
Ever since that, Salene has been determined to carry out more projects that support the elderly.
“Everything can be gone in a blink of an eye, so be thankful and start to care about others and help others”.
