QI Philippines employees took time off their Saturday to pay a visit to Cottolengo Filipino, an organisation that provides shelter for abandoned, neglected and physically challenged children.
The event saw our volunteers spending the day playing games and dancing along to fun songs with the children of the Home.
Together with the caretakers, storytelling sessions were also held to create a fun and lively atmosphere for the kids. The children later enjoyed a healthy luncheon spread that was prepared by our volunteers.
To make the visit more meaningful, our volunteers also presented the home caretakers with medicines, rice, egg, biscuits, milk and other necessities. It was an unforgettable experience for our volunteers as they were touched by how excited and welcoming the children were.
Father Julio, the head of the Cottolengo Filipino Home, said he was grateful and appreciative of the help extended by the RYTHM Foundation and QI Philippines volunteers.
“We are very grateful to the QI Group employees for the visit and for continuously supporting us,” he added.
RYTHM Foundation has been supporting the Cottolengo Filipino organisation for three years now, as we also recognise the significant work the Home carries out towards the care for children with special needs, which is in line with our goals towards enabling education for all and promoting sustainable community development.
