Six QI volunteers had the privilege to assist DCF in the Faisal Cup, the first and only football and netball tournament of its kind in Malaysia, providing the opportunity for underprivileged children the to shine in sports. Our volunteers helped ensure the tournament went on smoothly by assisting in distributing drinks, cleaning up, carrying sports equipment, loading and unloading of equipment, manning booths, as well as assisting as sports officials. DCF currently serves over 1,700 children and youths aged between 1 to 18 years old, from the urban poor family group in Malaysia, focusing on holistic care and education. Other than conducting education programmes in Malaysia, the Dignity for Children Foundation also works closely with other NGOs to reach out to underprivileged children in South East Asia, through its community-school and teachers’ training programmes to benefit children from low- income families.
The QI Malaysia staff had fun volunteering at the recently organised Faisal Cup football and netball tournament held at Victoria Institution in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia by the Dignity for Children Foundation (DCF).
