The ANOPA Project in Ghana has been recognised for its inclusive community development efforts, which were carried out in partnership with RYTHM Foundation. The long-time collaboration recently received the ‘Cross-cultural Collaboration for Development Award’ at the Ghana Philanthropy Awards 2025.
The award celebrates ANOPA’s growing impact in promoting social inclusion and humanitarian service through its ongoing partnership with RYTHM. Independent research consultants shortlisted the NGO before a panel of philanthropy and development experts selected it for the honour.
The ANOPA-RYTHM collaboration promotes inclusion in education, vocational skills training, and sports — programmes that inspire hope, celebrate diversity, and ensure equal opportunities for all.
The partnership has already created tangible change in Cape Coast and Accra, from improving learning access for children with hearing impairments to encouraging participation in community programmes.
RYTHM Foundation Chairperson Datin Sri Umayal Eswaran congratulated ANOPA on the achievement, saying, “Your commitment and teamwork have made a lasting difference and set new standards for sustainable social progress in our communities.”
ANOPA Executive Director Ernest Appiah described the recognition as a reflection of shared purpose. “This award reminds us what collaboration can achieve. Our partnership with RYTHM Foundation continues transforming lives and building stronger bridges for inclusion and empowerment.”
Reflecting on the milestone, Santhi Periasamy, Head of RYTHM Foundation, said: “Our collaboration with ANOPA goes beyond projects — it’s about building inclusive systems that uplift people for the long term.”
This recognition is a reminder that sustainable change begins with genuine partnerships rooted in trust, empathy, and a shared purpose to serve.
