Philippines, 28 August, 2013 – This time around, QI Philippines spread their wings in the name of humanity to help those in need in their darkest hour. It wasn’t under-privileged children, the less fortunate or the illiterate. This time, it was for those who had suffered a calamity that left many of them helpless and homeless. People were in desperate need of food, clothes and other daily necessities. Through the RYTHM Foundation, and in conjunction with Humanitarian Day, employees of QI Philippines spent an afternoon organising and packing relief goods for the victims of Typhoon Maring (international name: Trami). In addition to the relief goods, The V had also assembled 100 sets of school supplies. On 29 August, our big-hearted volunteers set out to Barangay Cuyab, San Pedro, Laguna to hand out the packed goods and supplies to 100 affected families in the area. The hot weather did not stop our volunteers from continuing their mission to distribute the goods to the victims. At the end of the day, the smiles on the victims faces as they received the donations, made it all worthwhile for our heroes! Everyone was geared up, working together in the spirit of RYTHM. It was a great start to touching a billion hearts!
