Hong Kong: 12 November 2009 – A total of 17 QuestNet staff participated in the Rainbow Trek 2009 to raise funds for the Rainbow Project, a non-profit organisation in Hong Kong that aims to provide special educational facilities for children with autism and promote awareness of autism in the Hong Kong community.
Organised by Island School Amalgamated Charities, the trek gave the participants the options of trekking either half the distance which is 25km or the full distance of 50km. Mr Richard Zinkiewicz, Director for International Operations of The QI Group of Companies which QuestNet and RYTHM Foundation are members of, gamely participated in the trek and completed the full distance of 50km. Mr Zinkiewicz in writing thanked all 17 QuestNet staff for their selfless gesture of raising funds for the autistic children of Hong Kong despite the sore muscles, bruises, blisters and sprains that they had to endure along the way. He specially recognised HR Manager Ms Becky Law for not only finishing the 25k distance but for singlehandedly raising a whopping HK$ 13,088! The rest of the staff raised a total of HK$ 8,592. He also acknowledged QuestNet Director Ms Malou Caluza for getting the support of RYTHM Foundation and the commitment of the 17 staff.
Mr Zinkiewicz ended his thank you note with the statement, “We hope that the pains of your participation will disappear quickly and you will only have the positive memories to convince you to join The Rainbow Trek in 2010.”
