To raise awareness on child sexual abuse, QI joined hands with Family Reproductive Health Association (FREHA) of Selangor and Wilayah Persekutuan in an Umbrella Walk event at Taman Jaya Park in Petaling Jaya.
The adults walked together with the kids while using umbrellas as a symbol of protection and support for a safe environment for children.
A total of 88 QI staff participated in the event with 55 employees involved in fund raising activities.
President of FREHA, Dr. Shong Chih Min, thanked QI for their support and cash donations.
“Through the walk, we aim to raise awareness on domestic child sexual abuse as well as encourage more people to report it,” said Shong.
FREHA is the oldest reproductive health association in Klang Valley. The organisation provides various awareness services including family planning counselling, safe abortion counselling, comprehensive sexuality education, clinical breast examinations, sexually transmitted disease screening as well as referral services.
