Volunteers from QI Singapore spent a day painting smiles across the faces of the residents of St John’s Home.
Since 1958, St John’s Home has provided countless senior citizens with the shelter and care they need. These senior citizens are no longer able to take care of themselves as easily, due to financial or physical limitations, and don’t have any family left to watch over them.
With the help of QI Singapore staff volunteers, the residents enjoyed a fun day of bingo and refreshments provided by QI. They also exchanged stories and shared life lessons with the volunteers.
During a fun Bingo session, volunteers made sure every winner received their much-awaited prize.To cap off the day, light refreshments (following the prescribed food for the elderly) were served.
The elderly residents enjoyed their experience, so the QI Singapore volunteers have decided to do another outreach programme soon. The upcoming festive season this year offers a great opportunity to get closer to the residents of St John’s Home.
