Birthdays are the most anticipated celebration in a young child’s life and 14 volunteers from QI and QNET in Hong Kong made the celebration even more amazing for children of the Changing Young Lives Foundation who were celebrating their birthdays in March and April.
In a birthday party held on 26 March 2017 at the Foundation’s centre in Shek Kip Mei, Hong Kong, the children had a fun filled time with the volunteers who organised games for them like the Traffic Light game, balloon popping games, Bracelet Bandits’ game and The Big Bad Wolf. The children were also given a mosaic picture frame kit each, to design their own photo frame for their birthday photos.
The celebration was also joined by Mr. Richard Zinkiewicz, QI Group Managing Director and Ms. Cathy Zhou, QI Group’s Director of Finance and Planning who both enjoyed spending time with these children and were happy to see such joy and positivity in them. Mr. Gary Zhang, QI Group’s Chief Financial Officer said “it was great to spend time with the kids on their special day. They were lovely and energetic. I am grateful to be part of an organisation that cares. Hopefully QI left them with some happy memories to cherish forever.”
The Changing Young Lives Foundation is dedicated to serving underprivileged children and young people in Hong Kong and the Mainland by providing them with free educational and developmental programs. The programs are designed to also empower individuals with skills to realize their full potential in order to lead happy and productive lives. To date, the Foundation has changed the lives of 37,466 children, teenagers and adults.
