In our ever-changing world, movements play a vital role in shaping the future by championing causes that redefine societies and uplift marginalised voices.
Over the past few decades, impactful movements like gender equality advocacy, inclusive education initiatives, and the push for indigenous rights have left an indelible mark on our collective consciousness.
More recently, the #MeToo and #BlackLivesMatter crusades have profoundly impacted public discourse and contributed to a collective push for greater equity and justice.
These movements unite in challenging injustices, promoting equity, and amplifying the voices of marginalised groups, collectively advocating for positive change.

RYTHM’s Movement-driven Approach
RYTHM Foundation’s commitment to celebrating partnerships and community-driven innovation resonates with the essence of propelling movements forward to shape the future. As the proverbial saying goes, “No man is an island” – a reminder that our collective efforts can achieve far more than individual endeavours.
Inspired by this philosophy, the Rise with RYTHM campaign is our year-long initiative inspired by the philosophy of bridging divides and fostering positive transformation. We aim to create lasting change by encouraging people to unite, reshape narratives, and collectively build a brighter future.
Several of RYTHM’s projects and partnerships are not merely initiatives but movements in their own right. These endeavours are characterised by their transformative impact and collective influence, embodying the essence of social change and progress.
They also represent goals in the Foundation’s key focus areas in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals like Education for All (SDG 4), Gender Equality (SDG 5), and Reducing Inequalities (SDG 10), among other critical SDGs.
Here are just a few noteworthy RYTHM projects and partnerships that transcend mere initiatives, embodying transformative impacts and collective influence:
Equity and Protection
Safer Cities for Girls, a collaboration with Plan India in Delhi, serves as a transformative movement for gender equality and safety. Recognising gender-based violence and harassment, particularly affecting girls and women, the initiative creates designated safe spaces and empowers them with self-defence skills.

Indigenous Visibility
In 2023, a groundbreaking convention hosted by RYTHM emerged as a pivotal movement for indigenous rights. This landmark event adopted over 30 resolutions, strategically addressing historical injustices and social inequalities, particularly emphasising education, health, livelihood, and human rights. The convention signifies a collective commitment to empowering and recognising the rights of indigenous communities, marking a significant stride towards a more inclusive and equitable future.

Equitable Learning
Taarana School, which is dedicated to special education needs, transcends beyond a typical educational institution. Offering specialised education and support services for children with developmental challenges serves as a catalyst for societal change. Taarana challenges traditional education norms and advocates for a more inclusive approach, ensuring every child has access to quality learning opportunities.
In the dynamic landscape of societal evolution, movements have proven instrumental in shaping our collective future and significantly impacting public discourse. The Rise with RYTHM campaign exemplifies this ethos, functioning not merely as a reactive force but as a proactive architect of a brighter future – one we all share.
