Helping 500 low-income families reconstruct their lives after returning to their homeland at the end of the Sri Lankan civil war. The programme helps them secure shelter and rebuild their lives, while also helping minimize risk of abuse among children who have been orphaned.
Supports a youth development programme which is working towards training around 800 girls from rural Maharashtra to become financially independent.
Sponsoring social entrepreneurs from these areas to develop social enterprises in their local communities. Projects include enabling access to education and improved income opportunity for rural communities through development of floriculture (kanakambaram & banthi flowers) and honey collection. This initiative is benefitting more than 25,000 men, women, children, and transgenders.
Supporting entrepreneurship development programme which will help 400 youth and women from disadvantaged communities earn a livelihood.
Promoting social inclusion of persons with special needs. The programme has trained 25 volunteers and staff in capacity development and over 400 youth with special needs have benefitted form it. The aim of the programme is to reach out to more youth, families and community members by 2022.
Supporting a community-based education and advocacy programme to help children who have been orphaned or abandoned as a result of the civil war.
