QNET Thailand office staff came together to make educational toys for UNICEF supported project – The Good Space. The Corporate Social Responsibility activity titled Toy Story was in aid of children of construction workers who work at the construction sites of Sansiri, Thailand’s leading property developer.
The educational toys were designed and hand-made by the QNET Thailand staff, and will be used at The Good Space project, an initiative between Sansiri’s Social Change wing and UNICEF Thailand in collaboration with construction partners. Through The Good Space, children are given the platform to enjoy a variety of activities in a safe environment instead of running around in the potentially-dangerous areas and being involved in child labour.
A majority of the construction workers in Sansiri’s construction workers are migrants and while they move around from project to project, their children are left mostly unattended. To counter this, the project provides a space for children to learn the basics and develop their skills. It also acts as a bridge to build foundational skills in the children so that these children will eventually be able to go to a regular school.
QNET feels passionately about issues related to children as the company believes they are the foundation of our future. By designing and creating these toys, they hope to contribute towards helping engage precious children in the safety of The Good Space.
