During the holy month of Ramadhan, 22 staff from QNET’s UAE office took the initiative to extend a helping hand and bring joy to orphans and senior citizens who call the Department of Social Services in Sharjah, UAE their home.
During their visit, our staff distributed meals for breaking fast and handed out Eid gifts to the residents supported by the social service department. The children had a good time with our staff who spent quality time with them. The elderly folks were happy to receive visitors and shared their stories with our volunteers. A volunteer, Zohra Rafa said the experience was fulfilling and brought so much joy. “We are so fortunate the have a family and a comfortable life, thus we should not forget those who are less fortunate and alone,” she added. Another volunteer, Claire said spending time with the children who had no families was a moving experience. “I enjoyed watching them had fun. The smile on their faces brought such happiness to us,” she added.
