The Mid-Autumn festival is very important in Chinese tradition. It is a time for thanksgiving and family gathering. Catherine Chan from QI Group’s Hong Kong office chose to spend last year’s mid-autumn festival at a home for the elderly, who have no one else. “The festival is an occasion for family reunion and I wanted to do something for those who live all alone. I am glad I had the opportunity to spend time with them and bring smiles to their faces. They are at the Home all the time with nowhere to go and no one to visit them. They love the opportunity to interact with others,” she says. “I strongly believe we need to invest our time and make more effort to improve the environment and happiness of the elderly people around us,” she adds.
