Practising the games before playing with the special children.
Before the actual activity, the team attended a training/briefing session on 30 June as the children’s cases were very severe and there was a need to have in-depth knowledge about the children, the centre, and the important do’s and don’ts.
Pre-briefing: Very important do’s and don’ts.
It was indeed a life-changing CSR activity as the disabilities of the Hong Chi children varied from muscular atrophy, down’s syndrome, shaken baby syndrome, epilepsy, etc. While it was heart-wrenching, at the same time, it made the team grateful for the lives that they already have so that they can share with needy children such as these.
A helping hand.
Bearing clothes, colourful water bottles and basic essentials such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and hankies for the children, QI Hong Kong staff brought joy and cheer to the children. Everyone in Hong Chi Pinehill Village felt the happiness during those few hours. For us, this was not just an opportunity to make a donation and lend a helping hand but it was also a remarkable moment for the team to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. Fun games were organised and most importantly, everyone learned compassion and the meaning of love.

More on Hong Chi Pinehill Hong Chi Pinehill was established in 1965 – giving priceless love and care to the needy for the past 47 years. Their pre-school centre provides year-round residential care and education for children up to six years of age. Most of the children are orphans and some are from families which cannot take care of them due to special circumstances. The Centre also offers early education and training for infants and children with developmental disorders. Over the years, Pinehill Village has developed numerous service units and facilities with services for about 600 children, students and trainees.
