Malaysia, 3 November 2011 – It is rare to find a leader who genuinely embodies an organisation’s philosophy enough to make a significant impact on its industry. RYTHM Foundation is fortunate to have such a trailblazer – our very own founder and Principal Trustee, Vijay Eswaran, was conferred today with the Lifetime Achievement Award for Regional Philanthropy at the World Chinese Economic Forum. Held at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, the ceremony saw eleven extraordinary individuals being honoured with lifetime achievement awards for outstanding contribution to their respective fields. It was an unforgettable moment for our great founder when he received his accolade from former Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. What also makes the award unique is that Dr. Eswaran is one of only two non-Chinese recipients at the Chinese forum.
(L to R) Former Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, QI Group Executive Chairman Vijay Eswaran, and Malaysian Minister of Tourism Ng Yen Yen Proving that leadership by example is the best way forward, he set the QI Group’s theme for 2011 as “We Care”. This simple yet powerful motto reflects our foundation’s values, and continues to inspire us in our mission to encourage others to RYTHM – Raise Yourself To Help Mankind.
