RYTHM Champions Inch Closer To Their Olympic Dream

Athletes from the Usha School of Athletics dominated the recently concluded Kerala State Inter-District Club Athletic Championship 2019, at Thiruvananthapuram that took place from 7 to 9 August.

Our athletes, Sharika Sunilkumar, Prathiba Varghese, Elga Thomas, and Mayukha Vinod won 7 of the 8 events that they participated in. Of the 7 first places won, 4 were won by RYTHM Foundation sponsored athletes. Our athletes made a very impressive mark at the Championship. Every new achievement now brings them closer to their dream to become Olympic athletes.

Results of RYTHM Foundation sponsored athletes:

  • Sharika Sunilkumar – 1st place – 100m (U 14)
  • Prathibha Varghese – 1st place – 400m (U 16)
  • Elga Thomas – 1st place – 400m (U 18)
  • Mayukha Vinod – 1st place – 600m (U 14)

The success of our athletes would not have been possible without the training from the Usha School of Athletics’ Residential Academy that pushed our talented female athletes to inch closer to success.

Usha School of Athletics was registered as a charitable institution in year 2000, with various sports facilities on a 30-acre campus in Kinalur in Kozhikode district of Kerala, India.
