Bangkok: 7 August 2010 – On 7 August 2010, in partnership with RYTHM Foundation, QNet – led by QNet Managing Director Mr JR Mayer – visited the Bangkok School for the Blind to make a donation. This was one of our ways of paying forward by giving people in need a happy smile on their faces..
Established since 1939, the Bangkok School for the Blind has two main objectives: to develop the children’s maximum potential morally, mentally, physically, and socially, so that they will be prepared to take their place in society as independently as possible; and to help integrate the more capable students for higher courses of study once they have completed their elementary or secondary education at the School for the Blind. Bearing gifts, toys, sports equipment, food, household merchandise, games, and loads of energy, QNet staff brought joy and cheer to the blind children. The happiness could be felt all over the School during those few hours. For us, this was not just simply an opportunity to make a donation and give a helping hand – it was also a remarkable moment for QNet staff to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
