QI Hong Kong staff recently joined hands to organise a ‘Snack Fun Day’ to raise funds for Taarana, our school for children with special needs. The Snack Fun Day saw staff putting their baking skills to use for a good cause, baking 100% vegetarian and healthy cookies, cupcakes and cakes. A total of 39 staff took time to prepare the snacks at home and brought them to the office to be sold.
The delicious snacks were then sold to QNET Hong Staff and proceeds from the sale were donated to Taarana. The Snack Fun Day was a grand success and the funds raised exceeded the target by more than 100%, as staff contributed from their heart. The event successfully raised 6,400 Hong Kong dollars for Taarana.
The Snack Fun Day for Taarana was not only a fundraising activity but it was also a fun way of showcasing the teamwork and creativity of the volunteers in the preparation of healthy vegetarian snacks in their own unique style. The day was made even more special with the involvement of several Chiefs and Directors who helped serve and deliver snacks to the staff.
