In conjunction with Flag Day, QI Hong Kong employees carried out a public fundraising event in support of the Rehabilitation Alliance Hong Kong Centre located at Tsim Sha Tsui.
The Rehabilitation Alliance Hong Kong Centre, established in 1992, provides support for the special needs’ community, with a special focus on disabilities such as hearing impairment. A total of 24 QI volunteers including our employees’ family members took part in the activity to raise money for these members of our community who are often forgotten.
Beginning from as early at 7.15am on the event day, our volunteers travelled from far and near to the fundraising location and were briefed before being divided into groups. They proceeded to earnestly collect donations by selling flags to pedestrians.
Rita Lam, one of our volunteers, said the event was meaningful as it allowed employees to spend time and give back to the community. “It was truly a very meaningful activity and we are very proud to have contributed to make a difference,” she added.
