In celebration of Ramadan, QNET with the support of RYTHM Foundation and key distributors (Independent Representatives) in UAE, hosted a special iftar meal on 30 July 2013, at the Radisson Royal Hotel Dubai. This event, attended by 55 people was held in aid of the children at the Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre – particularly the drama group, a regular beneficiary of QNET’s support in Dubai under the QNET Pays Forward (QNPF) programme. The Rashid Centre was established to provide quality education and therapy services for children with special learning needs.
During the event, QNET Regional General Manager for MENA, Khaled Diab and Associate V Partner Dev Johl addressed the crowd and expressed their appreciation for all the support received. Attendees also had an opportunity to make personal donations towards the Rashid Centre. All those who contributed were allowed to participate in a special lucky draw to be in the running for exclusive QNET products, which include a water purification system, a skin care range, a luxury watch and a wellness product. All donations received during the event went to Remy, a talented young girl who is both a student at the Rashid Centre and a Rashid ‘Star’ (a member of the drama group). An excited Remy also went home with a lucky draw gift to mark the festive season. “Reaching out to those less privileged is the responsibility of every human being. In the spirit of Ramadhan, we wanted to celebrate the opportunity to be thankful for all that we have and harness the community spirit of QNET to make a difference in the lives of children who were born different”, said Diab.Related Posts
