RYTHM Foundation (RF) works with a wide spectrum of partners, including governments, charity foundations, the private sector and non-profit organisations. Often we serve as a catalyst between generous partners and the underprivileged.
Akshaya Trust, India
The non-profit Akshaya Trust provides food, shelter and aid for street people in Madurai, India. It was founded by CNN Hero of 2010, Narayanan Krishnan, after he witnessed an old man eating his own waste out of hunger. Over nine years, the Akshaya team has served 1.2 million meals and continue to feed almost 400 people daily. RF supported the trust in constructing a rehabilitation home for the street people of Madurai.
Better Nepal Foundation (BNF), Kathmandu
The BNF is a non-profit organisation, established in 2003, to help abused women, as well as orphaned, disabled and street children. With assistance from RF, the foundation provides the necessary resources to nurture the physical, mental and emotional growth of these children, helping them to become self-reliant before they leave BNF.
Foundation of Goodness (FOG), Sri Lanka
Founded in 1999, the Foundation of Goodness is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to improving the lives of the underprivileged rural communities in Sri Lanka. The foundation’s motto, “Be Good, Do Good” goes hand in hand with RF’s philosophy, “Raise Yourself To Help Mankind”. From 2009 to 2012, RF supports FoG’s Village Heartbeat Project in Udumulla, which operates on a community development model, providing holistic services to rural communities. Through the provision of shelter and educational programmes, the project has enriched the lives of children, the youth and women, including 2,312 students.
Island School Amalgamated Charities (ISAC), Hong Kong
The ISAC organises an annual fundraising hike, the ‘Rainbow Trek’, that benefits autistic children in the Rainbow Project. This non-profit organisation aims to provide special educational facilities for children autism, and to promote awareness of autism in Hong Kong. For two years, staff of RF and QNet participated in the ‘Rainbow Trek’.
United Nations World Food Programme (UN WFP), Pakistan
Part of the United Nations system, the World Food Programme is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. Founded in 1961, the WFP provides relief during emergencies and helps to rebuild communities. RF participated in the “Floods in Pakistan” project in 2010 to aid the disaster victims, donating USD40,000 to cause.
World Vision International
World Vision International is a relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. In celebration of QNet’s 11th Anniversary in 2009, RF facilitated a partnership between World Vision and QNet, to sponsor 121 impoverished children in 11 countries, in the hopes of enriching their lives with education opportunities, health care and support systems. To ensure the sustainability of the programme, RF involved the beneficiary communities in the planning and fulfilment of the sponsorship from 2009 to 2010.
