Singapore, 12 September 2011 – Budding bakers from QI Singapore spent hours whipping up scrumptious desserts for a charity bake sale that was held at the office on 12 September 2011. As many as 60 employees turned up for the bake sale, which doubled as a company lunch to celebrate Hari Raya, or Eid al-Fitr as it is globally known.
The aroma of cakes, pastries, cookies, jellies and other sweet treats filled the office, tempting colleagues to snap up the goodies. Not only were the desserts good for the palate, they were all for a good cause.
From the SGD1,009 raised, part of it will be spent on gifts for kids from the D’Joy Children’s Centre, whilst the remainder will be used for the Christmas party with the children. During the bake sale, pre-loved books, clothes and toys were collected to be donated to the Beyond Social Service Charity Centre. As icing on an already mouth-watering cake, RYTHM Foundation will set aside another SGD1,009 for the company’s future CSR events
