Amman: 17 May 2009 – The QuestNet Pays Forward initiative made a symbolic donation of USD 6,485 to support the U. N. World Food Program, during the award ceremony of the 2009 Rallye Allgäu-Orient at the Royal Hotel.
This unique amount donated by the RYTHM Foundation represents a dollar for every kilometer covered by the QuestNet-sponsored team Amman Express, which finished at an excellent 4th position from among the 80 teams having participated in the rally.
The Rallye Allgäu-Orient flagged off from Oberstaufen on 2 May 2009, and is an adventure on wheels spanning 14 countries, which aims to support the U. N. World Food program’s efforts in the region.
Specifically, the funds raised from this event have been earmarked for the building of a Cheese factory at Al-Rabiya and supporting the on going efforts of local NGOs. Mr. Naseer, QuestNet Representative in Amman, handed over the cheque to HRH Princess Basma Bint Talal, before sharing a joyful meal with the team Amman Express members and supporting IRs. QuestNet and the RYTHM Foundation are proud to have supported such a passionate, generous and successful team. May their example inspire many more!
