In the spirit of giving during the holy month of Ramadhan, QNET Indonesia employees held a breaking fast event for underprivileged children from Rumah Yatim Dhuafa (RYDHA). The event put a smile on the faces of 150 children who enjoyed visiting Kidzania, Jakarta for the first time.
A total of 27 volunteers facilitated the registration process at Kidzania and assisted the children to enjoy the various fun-filled activities, especially the profession role play, where the children got to pick their ambition and live the dream. It was interesting to see the children attempting to be doctors, lawyers, and even police officers.
During the session in Kidzania, the children were taught how to handle different professions and the skills they would need to realise their dreams. Then, a talk was held on the importance of showing kindness to each other and treating everyone equally. Lastly, all our volunteers sat together with the kids and enjoyed a hearty meal to break their fast. There was also a donation handed over to the home to provide some financial assistance for their expenses.
Ganang, QNET Indonesia’s Senior Operation Manager said this Staff Social Responsibility (SSR) activity was a great way to help children have an enjoyable time while instilling in them the spirit to be ambitious and driven to achieve their dreams. “This activity is a good start to give the kids a glimpse of the knowledge needed for their future and have a taste of what their future can be,” he added.
