

Donation to Support Ethiopia Flood Victims

Already victims of poverty, the people of Ethiopia were further disadvantaged by the fatal calamity caused by the Dire Dawa Flood. As part of RYTHM Foundation's efforts to relieve the effects of the natural catastrophe, the Foundation donated USD25,000 to go some way towards rebuilding the area and injecting hope into the devastated community.

Yogyakarta Earthquake Relief Action

In the aftermath of the destruction caused by the devastating earthquake that hit central Java in May 2006, RYTHM Foundation was on the ground in the worst-affected areas in Yogyakarta. Relief camps were set up for the victims, where canned food, blankets, medicines and other basic essentials were distributed. A substantial cash donation was made to the Sultan of Yogyakarta towards the rehabilitation projects. RYTHM Foundation also worked with the business partners of the QI Group to raise a substantial donation from different parts of the world. The moneys raised are being used to build pre-fabricated homes for some for some of the people who lost everything in the earthquake.
Funds to Rehabilitate Survivors of Philippine Typhoon

RYTHM Foundation responded to the shocking 2006 Typhoon that ripped through the Quezon Province, Philippines, by donating one million pesos to relief operations in the region. The donation was allocated to assist in the rehabilitation of the typhoon victims.
Aid for Bushfire Victims in Cambodia
2005
More than 200 Vietnamese and Cambodian families lost their homes and property overnight when a bushfire destroyed the village of Prek Tacung, in the outskirts of the city of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The families were left without basic necessities and with no building materials to begin the painful task of trying to rebuild what was lost. To aid in their plight, RYTHM Foundation immediately made a USD2,000 donation to the First Secretary of SR Vietnam in Cambodia and the President of the Vietnamese Association in Cambodia, to contribute to the relief fund.

Tsunami Relief Operations
2004-2007
The world stood still as news spread of the absolute terror and enormity of the December 2004 Asian Tsunami. The destruction wrecked its havoc throughout coastal Asia, with Thailand, South India, Indonesia and Sri Lanka amongst the worst struck. RYTHM Foundation was active in many ways in many countries, doing whatever it could to provide support, financial assistance, and relief operations to those worst affected.
Thailand
RYTHM Foundation donated THB10 million to the Thai Prime Minister for Tsunami Relief Operations. Donations of money and relief material were made to RYTHM Foundation in the name of Tsunami relief, and these contributions were securely passed on to the people of Thailand. Another RYTHM Foundation initiative in Thailand following the tsunami has rebuilt more than 40 homes since November 2006 in villages on the islands of Koh Yao Yai in the Phuket province.India
Through the Rupee-For-Rupee Programme, RYTHM Foundation raised funds and purchased clothes, medicines and essentials for those in India who were left behind by the Tsunami. The programme called for employees and Independent Representatives of QuestNet India (a QI Ltd subsidiary) to contribute funds. Every rupee donated was matched in value by QuestNet India.Indonesia
Under the umbrella of RYTHM Foundation, QuestNet Indonesia (a QI Ltd subsidiary) raised funds through donations from leaders and Independent Representatives around Indonesia, to assist those affected nearest the epicentre of the earthquake. Sri Lanka was a country that suffered gravely in the wake of the Tsunami, and is still suffering. Immediately following the disaster, RYTHM Foundation made a cash donation of USD50,000 to help start relief operations. A sizeable donation was then made for medium-term rebuilding efforts, and a USD1 million long-term commitment was made to support a rehabilitation programme.
