RYTHM Foundation Joins Island Scout Trailwalk
cum Walk for Life 2010

Hong Kong: 14 March 2010 - On 14 March, RYTHM Foundation will take part in an annual healthcare charity fundraising event in Hong Kong called Island Scout Trailwalk cum Walk for Life 2010. The QI Group, the foundation's holding company, has enjoined its staff and their families and friends to join the healthy activity, enjoy the fresh air and raise funds for the less fortunate at the same time. QI has pledged to match every dollar raised by the participating staff and their companions.

Participants are expected to gather at Pok Fu Lam at 1:15 PM and will trek the 6-kilometer long trail going to The Peak. They are expected to make it to the end of the route in about two hours.

Island Scout Trailwalk cum Walk for Life 2010 is organized by the Scout Association of Hong Kong - Hong Kong Island Region and co-organized by its beneficiaries, The Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society and the Rotary Club of Hong Kong Harbour, to raise funds for their service projects intended for the less-privileged members of their adopted communities.

The Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society has always been at the forefront of fighting against cancer by organizing various activities to raise cancer awareness such as cancer education, cancer research and development of guidelines for cancer detection and prevention.

The Rotary Club of Hong Kong Harbour has pledged to build at least 5 clinics in the Guizhou Province in China and sponsor their maintenance in 3 subsequent years. Guizhou is a relatively poor and undeveloped province with 88 counties and hundreds of villages widely spread in a mountainous terrain.
