Supports Charity Through Song

Hong Kong: 28 October 2008 - Hong Kong's St John's Cathedral was the magnificent setting for last night's 'A Sublime Viennese Classical Music Concert', an important charity event to raise funds for children's foundation Karen Kids.

The high-class affair was highlighted by a stellar performance by world-class Soprano Elisabeth Freundlinger, accompanied by the internationally renowned Haydn Quartet.

An intimate cocktail reception followed the performance, where guests and performers mingled for after-show socialising and networking.

RYTHM Foundation was the gold sponsor of this worthwhile musical charity event, a sponsorship that continues the Foundation's support of and relationship with the Karen Kids society.

Following the event, RYTHM Foundation Chairman Mr Aulis Makitalo and RYTHM Foundation Project Manager Mr Christophe Altaie met with the Managing Director of Hilfswerk Austria, Dr Heidi Burkhart. Hilfswerk Austria is a non-profit, cross-denominational and non-party organisation that provides international humanitarian aid for victims of conflicts and environmental disasters as well as long-term development assistance.

The two benefit foundations are now in further talks to combine their philanthropic philosophies to address and improve children's education and livelihood initiatives in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa, India and Central Europe.
