RYTHM Foundation / World Vision 5-5-5 Emergency Fund Appeal

Metro Manila and the rest of the island of Luzon in the Philippines experienced the heaviest downpour in recorded history on Saturday, Sep 26, 2009 that has flooded 80% of the metropolis. Hundreds of people are reported dead and hundreds of thousands displaced with many still unreachable due to impassable roads. President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has declared a state of calamity in Metro Manila and in 25 Luzon provinces as heavy rains brought by the storm caused the worst flooding seen in the capital in 4 decades.

In order to help those affected, RYTHM Foundation is setting up the 5-5-5 Emergency Fund with our Partner, the international NGO World Vision. Under this program, a donation of Pesos 5,000 will cover the emergency relief needs of a family of 5 for 5 days.
