Volunteers from QNET Egypt under the umbrella of RYTHM Foundation recently brought smiles at the Children’s Cancer Hospital and Al-Orman Orphanage Home in Cairo, Egypt.
It was an eventful day for the volunteers as they had visited two centres within the same day. In the early morning, they paid a visit to the Children’s Cancer Hospital, also known as the 57357 Hospital; one of the largest centre in the world dedicated to children’s cancer treatment for free regardless of race, faith or financial background. Later in the afternoon, the volunteers went to Al Orman Orphanage, a centre which caters for children with special needs, located 30 kilometres away.
During these visits, the volunteers spent a great amount of time with the children, showering them with gifts and games. If there was a takeaway for the volunteers, it would be the smiles and laughter of the children which had paid off their efforts.
The volunteers had definitely lived up to RYTHM’s name (Raise Yourself To Help Mankind) with the success of this SSR activity.
